It was good just not great

My twin brother treated us to lunch. From previous reviews, I ordered the onion rings. Boy, that review was spot on!! Excellent! They had the Walleye Special and I had the Halibut Fish and Chips Special and that was awesome! But the best thing of all was our waitress, Trish(a)! She was at our beck and call and I have to say, one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had! Thank you! My brother wanted to treat my husband for work he’d done so I said I’d pay for my own meal. When it came time to pay the bills, this is what was in my server’s book from Trish(a):. That’s how great a waitress she is!

Quick & attentive service.Helpful, happy staff.We're glad we returned.We were celebrating a birthday. The birthday boy said he wanted seafood, but we don't know a lot of places to go. So, we returned to the Seafood Market & Restaurant for the second year in a row.My wife does NOT recommend the Trout. She thought it was dry, perhaps because it was so thin it cooked too fast.The Market Price for the two 4oz lobster tails was $60. My son thought they were good. He ate one and took the other home.My other son had the Sole. He absolutely loved it. He and my wife both agreed it was very moist and flavorful.My clam chowder and side salad were excellent. Of course, I had already filled up on appetizers -- onions rings and stuffed mushrooms.Overall we had a very pleasant evening.

The oysters, crab cakes, and mussels were very good. Service was absolutely horrible. Seems they need training. Waiter never asked how food was, dumped a plate on the side of the table, and then totally ignored us the rest of the meal. Water not refilled, plates not taken before next course came. I had to ask theman who was bussing tables to remove items several times. Never asked if it was a special occasion. (It was my birthday). Of course, when we asked for the bill, it immediately showed up on table. My daughter normally tips 25%. She left a 15% tip. I wouldn't have left more than 10%. Too bad service ruined the birthday dinner. Oh, and their website advertisers happy hour prices. That's why we went early. Waiter stated there was no happy hour. Owners may want to remove that from the website.

Seafood Market is where two of my female friends and I like to go for a nice chat and tasty lunch. We always order a basket of their onion rings to share before our entrees come out. Who would have thought that the BEST onion rings in Mesa would be found at a Seafood place? They were brought to our table promptly...hot, savory real rings with a nice light batter coating that makes them absolutely delicious. The entrees follow in a short time and are almost always to our liking. This last trip didn't disappoint. We try different things, but to tell you the truth, I think all three of us go just for the onion ring treat! Good food, good service, reasonable prices.
